We operate a fleet of modern road friendly vehicles which have a payload capacity of up to 28 tonnes. Our 45’ trailers carry 26 standard pallets and operate throughout the UK on a daily basis. We also operate smaller rigid vehicles and even offer a same-day parcel courier service for urgent deliveries anywhere in the country.
Much of our dry freight work is done on a groupage basis. This mainly involves collecting export orders from manufacturing sites in Cumbria as ‘ex-works’ on behalf of international freight forwarders and delivering to their hubs in Lancashire, Yorkshire and the Midlands. A wide variety of goods make up the return traffic from all parts of the country, chiefly raw materials used by local manufacturers. Timed deliveries are commonplace and we have an excellent reputation for meeting customer demands.
